About our school

Welcome to The Crescent School's website.  Our school offers students a caring, nurturing learning environment. Our dedicated and experienced teachers provide a positive and enriching program, appreciating each child's individual needs and interests.

All students at The Crescent School are supported by a highly skilled and qualified staff that has a deep knowledge and understanding of students aged 4-18 years of age with an intellectual disability, complex health care needs, mental health conditions and/or behavioural support needs.

Collaboratively developed student-centred plans underpin school programs.  These plans are responsive to the individual needs of our students and their families.  Our students come from a diverse range of socio-economic backgrounds and cultures.  14.2% of the school's population identify as Aboriginal.

The school's Parents and Citizens Committee support the implementation of planning, policy and programs.

The school shares expertise and builds staff capability in schools across the Southern Tablelands through regular networking opportunities.

Where are we?

The Crescent School is a specialist educational setting located in Goulburn and is the only School for Specific Purposes (SSP) in the Southern Tablelands. 

Our school is part of the NSW Department of Education. Our service is offered to students who live in Goulburn and the surrounding towns and villages.

Who attends Crescent School?

Our school provides for the learning of students from K - 12 with intellectual/physical disabilities, behaviour difficulties, and autism. Students study from individual education plans that incorporate the Board of Studies Curriculum outcomes.
